PsyErgo auf der ACM Conference on Tangible, Embedded and Embodied Interaction (TEI 2023)
16.03.2023Bei der ACM-Konferenz über Tangible, Embedded und Embodied Interaction kommen internationale Forscher*innen, Designer*innen und Praktiker*innen zusammen, um die Schnittstelle von Computertechnologie, physischen Materialien und menschlicher Interaktion zu erforschen.
Die TEI (https://tei.acm.org/2023/) ist eine interdisziplinäre Konferenz, die Teilnehmende aus der Mensch-Computer-Interaktion, den Ingenieurwissenschaften, dem Design und der Kunst anzieht. Forschung, die auf der TEI präsentiert wird, hat eine breite Palette von Anwendungen, von der Verbesserung der Benutzererfahrung digitaler Technologien bis hin zur Schaffung neuer Formen interaktiver Kunst und Performance.
Der Lehrstuhl für Psychologische Ergonomie gewann neue Einblicke und Ideen bei Vorträgen und Studios und trug mit aktuellen Ergebnissen zu der Konferenz bei. Prof. Jörn Hurtienne moderierte die Session „Beyond Human“. Alisa Popp und Stephan Huber präsentierten ihre Ergebnisse zur Kommunikation und Interaktion von Acroyogis im Rahmen einer Poster- & Demo-Session. Sie hatten untersucht, wie sich vibrotaktile und visuelle Reize aus Wearables auf die Improvisation von Acroyogis auswirken.
Abstract des Beitrags:
Acroyoga practitioners either follow predefined choreographies or play freely to create compositions of two bodies’ poses and transitions. To support their free play, we created the training technology probe Acrosuit. The Acrosuit gives visual or vibrotactile cues to propose a novel point of contact without instructions how to get there. We invited acroyogis to exploratively play with the suit and gained qualitative insights on whether and how they used the cues. The suit influenced their practice and in some cases also the way of communication between the partners. Experiencing the shifts in communication caused by the Acrosuit made acroyogis more conscious about their interaction without the technology.
