Jonathan works as a research assistant in the BMBF-funded project HiAvA.
He studied Human-Computer-Systems (B.Sc.) and Human-Computer-Interaction (M.Sc.) at the University of Würzburg.
In his master thesis, he investigated handwritten text input on physically aligned and mid-air surfaces in virtual and augmented reality, highlighting the potential of handwriting for efficient and versatile text input in XR.

From June 2021 to April 2023, he worked as a student worker at the chair of Human-Computer Interaction in the project ViLeArn.

In the summer of 2023, Jonathan was a research intern in the Ubiquitous Interaction research group at the University of Helsinki supervised by Prof. Dr. Giulio Jacucci. He investigated virtual agents for health and safety advice and intervention in virtual reality, with a focus on harassment intervention in social virtual reality.
