Dr. Benjamin Lange

Dr. Benjamin Lange (*1978) studied German language and literature (with specialisation in language, communication, and media), English language and literature, and Psychology in Kassel. He worked as a journalist in Berlin und Kassel. He also worked as a research scientist at the universities of Kassel, Frankfurt am Main, and Göttingen. He obtained his doctorate in Psychology at the University of Kassel ("Verbal proficiency as fitness indicator. Experimental and comparative research on the evolutionary psychology of language and verbal displays", supervisor: Professor Harald A. Euler, Ph. D). Since 2007 public appearances in the media (e.g., television programs).
Since 2014, he works a post-doctoral research scientist and lecturer at the Media Psychology Department at the University of Wuerzburg. From 2015 to 2018, he was doing his habilitation (post-doctoral qualification) in Psychology at the Faculty of Human Sciences at the University of Wuerzburg. Since 2015, he also works as a psychological counsellor and therapist.
